"...Do Something Different"

Img_1056 According to speaker, author and fellow blogger Graham Jones, "If you want your presentation to be recalled by your audience, do something different." That's great advice - and I want to tell you about something different you can do with handouts.

A lot of us rely on PowerPoint® presentations every day. But what kind of handouts do you have?

ZoomAlbum™ Creator software Version 1.09 has a feature that allows you to import PowerPoint slides so you can print them in this neat little album. Yesterday I had the opportunity to try it out. It's pretty cool and it may just be the unique leavebehind that will make your audience remember you and your product or service. Just think, a custom printed cover and 12 color slides highlighting your key points. The possibilities are endless.

Check it out. You can make 'em yourself or download the software, import the slides and have a quantity of albums made at the  "You Pic 'em, We Print 'em" Online Store. Here's the easy instructions.

Silhouettes

SilhouetteIsn't this a great silhouette of a child? The hat is wonderful. My parents used to have silhouette photos hanging in the living room and I developed an appreciation for them.

If you're like me, maybe you captured a silhouette by accident, or you always wondered how they do that. If so, check the sites below for tips and examples.

Aren't digital photographs fun? What scene would you like to capture as a silhouette?

ZoomAlbum™ is "a Good Thing"

Photocoverbday1 To borrow Martha Stewart's favorite phrase: it's a "Good Thing."  Every time I show off a ZoomAlbum™ to relatives or friends, somebody wants a copy. It's really been a timesaver for me to save all my projects with a new name. That way I can go back and print them as needed.

This unique album works really well for events and holidays where there are a lot of people in attendance who would each like copies of the same photos. It makes a nice remembrance of the day.

Macro Photography: An Art Form

Macro_flower_1I find macro photography amazing - probably because of the detail that is brought into clear vision, like using a microscope. If you enjoy macro photos, you will like browsing through the entries from the recent EBSQ Macro Photography '06 online art show.

Easily Crop Your Photos Within ZoomAlbum™ Creator

Did you know you can crop your photos within Hint1ZoomAlbum Creator 2.0 software? In the "Prepare" tab, you can "Adjust Zoom" of the photo (see arrows in picture). This allows you to zoom out or in to capture the portion of the photo you want. Don't forget to "grab" (the pointer turns into a hand) the photo and move it around until you have just the right crop.

It's possible to edit your photos quite nicely. Here's a few links to check out about cropping digital photos:

ZoomAlbum™ Tips: Gray Borders

A ZoomAlbum™ user recently posed this question to the ZoomAlbum™ support team:

Question : "I use a HP printer. When I print my ZoomAlbum™, an unwanted gray color border is printing on some of the white area of the border. I use a HP printer and need to know how  I can stop the gray color from printing on my album?"

Solution: "This problem is related to the printer settings on your printer.  HP printer puts gray ink over the pictures when you select the highest quality. To avoid this, go to printer properties and  select NORMAL print quality prior to printing your album."

A great resource for troubleshooting your printer problems when using ZoomAlbum™ can be found at the ZoomAlbum™ Support area.

Going to the Beach? Take (Care of) Your Camera

Beach_4

Summer is here, many are headed to the beaches. Don't forget the camera - but please, take care of your equipment. With the sand, surf, and salty air - that may be more difficult than it sounds.

Digital Photography School offers some great advice for Beach Photogrpahy and Digital Camera Maintenance.
