Isn't this a great silhouette of a child? The hat is wonderful. My parents used to have silhouette photos hanging in the living room and I developed an appreciation for them.

On this date - June 26 - in 1819, the bicycle was patented (at least according to one source). Since then, I have found many other references and patents.
Anyway, I like the topic of bicycles for today. They have changed our lives. We use bicycles for sports, play, our daily commute, and even to exercise pets. This picture caught my attention. Do you have a favorite digital photograph of a bicycle to share?

Probably many of you remember using one of these outhouses. Times sure have changed for the better.
That's true with photography, too. My dad was a newspaper photographer, so as a youngster I spent a lot of time with him in the darkroom, watching anxiously for film to be developed and processed to see how our pictures turned out. Today we can snap a photo with a digital camera and immediately print it.
