Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde?
The other day I found these two soaking up the sun on a large rock in the middle of a creek. There's something about turtles that makes them seem so easy going.
I have fond childhood memories of visiting the San Diego Zoo and the giant tortoise exhibit. In recent years when I visited Mexico we watched protected baby sea turtles being released for their trek to the ocean. With protection many more might survive.
